Coming to an End ...

First off (nothing to do with this post), I do not understand why in the world my music isn't playing right. All I wanted was to have "Moon River" play automatically on my blog, however, it is malfunctioning! It keeps starting too late in the song which is therefore ruining the whole thing! But more on that later ...

Anyway, sorry I haven't really been blogging lately ... I just haven't had the time to update or anything since my computer has been broken for the past how many months, and my sister recently moved to Sacramento and brought along her laptop that I've been using instead. Anyway ...

So today was Senior Picnic and honestly I thought it was going to be more running around / playing volleyball / going crazy day, but it turned out to be quite relaxing instead (which isn't a bad thing). I spent most of my time lying down on the grass either just chatting or gossiping (heheehe) with friends. I also thought that I would be devouring a whole lot of food while at McNear's Beach, yet I hardly ate anything; I ate a variety of foods, but only bits and pieces of everything ... Ruffles Cheddar Cheese chips, potato salad from Lucky, two pieces of brownies, a can of Canada Dry, a bottle of Arrowhead water, a triangle of watermelon, and only three to four bites of my custom made samich.

The bus ride there wasn't too bad - the people on my bus were fun, but everyone including myself pretty much fell asleep both ways (except for H and T who sat behind me and chatted the whole time). The most interesting person on Bus 1 was M because he is so adorable! Yet he fell asleep too, just like everyone else.

Okay, so one little pet peeve of mine that was revealed today while I was relaxing in the shade and gossiping with my friend E is this: I can't share my water bottle with someone who has been participating in strenuous activity which has left him/her sweaty and out of breath. My friend
Y came over after playing a rigorous game of ultimate frisbee and asked if he could have some of my water and of course my answer was yes, and I didn't really mind ... I mean, I heartY he's such a sweetheart and all but well basically it doesn't matter who drinks from my water bottle but I think it's pretty gross if you share with someone who is all sweaty and all that. I don't know. He wouldn't take the whole thing (I guess because he felt bad), however, I was later able to give the half-full / half-empty water bottle (whichever way you look at it) to someone else who was in need of some refreshment which so happened to be the one and only L (not me, dzuhh).

Well it's over now, I don't really feel like giving every detail of the picnic, but it was fun. Now it's all over and tomorrow is the third seniors-only event - Senior Luncheon / Brunch (which is it?). I don't even feel like going since the food is bad and I want to sleep in (I'm going super early tomorrow since I have no idea where the place is and K is giving me a ride there). Yet I'm going ... only to take pictures with fun people, especially Mr.S, my favorite. Oh mah gah! Mr.S, the adorable one, didn't sign my yearbook yet! I've tried looking for him for the past week, but he was nowhere to be found ... and why didn't he come to the picnic? Oh well ... hopefully he comes tomorrow. Sigh. And then there's grad rehearsal tomorrow at the Cow Palace (I wish it was at Bill Graham Auditorium) which I'm not really looking forward to ... two and a half hours of us just walking and sitting and waiting. Fun. I guess the best part is that I get to sit near M! Woo hoo! That will be the highlight of the whole rehearsal I bet ... heheehe.

Oh, the reason why I'm so frustrated about my music is that
1) It sounds retarded
2) I really want to have an Audrey Hepburn song because I've decided that I want to watch all her movies during my first couple weeks of summer. I lost Breakfast at Tiffany's, sadly, so I can't even watch that again, but do you have any suggestions of other Audrey Hepburn movies? Which are your favorites? Thanks!

More PSPSPS
Okay five minutes later - I found another snippet of "Moon River" which starts off at the right spot (the actual beginning of the song) but since the snippet is actually from a scene from Breakfast at Tiffany's, you hear the typing in the beginning of the scene, so just ignore that :o)

Surprise !

Okay, so about the end of May I had firmly established that I wasn't going to attend Senior Prom . I know, I know , psycho right ? But , I have my reasons ... People have been telling me that I'm going to regret not going , but I felt otherwise . Lowell supposedly has the " best dances " among San Francisco high schools , yet disappointingly they've only ranged from so-so to mini-BAM .

Let's see ... I don't recall going to the Welcome Back Dance ( did we even have one ? ) , but I did go to Homecoming ( "Big Things Poppin' " ) which was really fun . Senior Boat was thee best - I went stag ( a growing trend ) with a group of friends and we ate together at a Thai restaurant ... I forgot what it was called , but quite a lot of Lowell kids ate there as well . Next up was Winter Ball ( " Baby , It's Cold Outside " ) hah . Interesting story to this one , yet I won't disclose any details yet . Maybe later ... remind me .

Anyway , back to the main topic - I think I am for sure going to prom . My friend D asked me to go with him the other day and i said yes . I think it would be fun to go with him because we're good friends and I know it won't be awkward or anything just because we have the same friends and all that . I am saying this because a particular random date that I had ruined my perspective on formals - if you went with someone random ( who isn't really a close friend , an acquaintance if you will ) the whole night would be completely awkward . Dinner would be awkward , pictures would be awkward , dancing would be awkward - you get what I mean . That is truth .

So today ( and last night ) I went dress shopping but there's hardly anything that catches my eye . It's the most frustrating thing when you have a time limit . It's like it's not even fun shopping around because you know that you just need to get something already . I bought two dresses - I don't even know if one of them is " the one " though . I still want to have another shopping day maybe tomorrow after I watch Washington High School's Dance Concert . D said to let him know what color my dress is by Monday or so ... so I'll have to decide or shop soon ! Either way , my shoes will for sure be gold along with my accessories . Yes , gold goes well with either royal blue or playful green . Yes .

Okay so Option One ( the one on the top ) is not the same dress that I have but it's similar to it ... The straps on my dress do not have rhinestones on them ( disgusting ) but rather simple spaghetti straps . Option Two ( the one on the bottom) is going to be bright green but the same style . Hmm ... I'm kind of leaning towards Option Two . My options so far are pretty similar to each other , chiffon with a sash in the middle , but I think that's what I want . I'm not sure . But a cinched waist would look nice what with my " B&B "

Sigh . Limited time = Limited Options .
lo

PS
Oh ! And the other part of the " Surprise " in today's post ( sorry , I forgot ) is that I plan on going to La Fête D'anniversaire de Mme. P . I am going to bake a heart-shaped cake and maybe cupcakes with the leftover batter . Je suis très excité !

Post APs

I am so relieved . APs are done which means that high school is officially retarded - WOO ! A bunch of Mr. C's calc and pre-cal kids went to Great America just for fun , and for the rest of us it's Senior Cut Day ( # 3 ? ) . Well anyway, my dinky math teacher is giving us a quiz today, so like a good Lowell student I'm going to school at 1:oo pm to take it - he should be proud . Also , today is the Dance Concert Kick-Off for all of Ms. J's dance classes ... I think it ends at like 5:30 pm or something .

Man ! I'm kind of sad ... it's scorching hot outside and in a few hours all of us dancers are going to be running around the whole school learning four eight-counts from a previous Dance Company routine which we'll have to scramble to put in the correct order to win the scavenger hunt . Ugh ... I normally would enjoy this activity ( on a normal San Franciscan day - aka foggy / breezy ) but today is just not working for me . I'd so rather participate in Senior Mystery Night ( my friend L really wanted to ) if it wasn't for dance .

Well whatever . As I said , school is officially retarded so now i can finally relax since the only real classes ( real classes meaning classes that have finals ) that I have left are physiology and math . Starting next week my school schedule will be a 4 - 18 with a complete 6-7 lunch thanks to my fave teacher Mr. S who said that class is from now on optional :o) In return , I think I will buy him that apricot-and-something cheese from Trader Joe's that I was telling him about ... ya know , in return for allowing us not to go to class and for letting me devour all of his Keebler Club crackers .

your friend ,
